Grounding off Tripoli

The "Atlantic Peach", en route to Khoms with 14 crew members on board, ran aground at the breakwater of the Tripoli sea port on Jan 3, 2019. The vessel was carrying 150 containers. All crew members were safely evacuated at request of the captain due to bad weather conditions, and taken in the custody of the Tripoli port authority. The "Atlantic Peach", upon completion of repairs and inspections, departed Tuzla shipyard, on Oct 8 at 12.50 p.m. ETA at Thessaloniki, on Oct 9.

Engine failure off Karabiga

Sat Sep 29 13:47:03 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Atlantic Peach" en route from Yalova to Port Said suffered engine failure and drifted towards the shore off Karabiga in the Marmara Sea,on Sep 27, 2018, at 10 p.m. A Coastal Safety tug and a technical team attended the scene to ensure the vessel's and marine traffic safety. Subsequently, the vessel dropped anchor under supervision of the coastal safety tug at Cape Karabiga anchorage on Sep 28 at 5 a.m. The vessel's departure permission has been cancelled until the completion of permanent repairs by the crew. On Sep 29 the ship was still moored in pos. 40° 29.18' N 027° 16.67' E.
