Ferry suffered malfunction of air condition

The Port Authority of Piraeus was informed by the Master of the 'Agios Nektarios Aiginas' in the morning of Sep 22, 2023, that during its scheduled voyage from the port of Aegina to the port of Piraeus, with 137 passengers and their vehicles on board, a malfunction occurred in the air conditioning system, in the vicinity of pos. 37 46 00 N, 023 25 00 E. The Piraeus Port Authority prohibited the vessel from sailing until the air conditioning system was repaired and a certificate of class maintenance was presented by the monitoring classification society. The vessel was replaced by the Greek-flagged passenger ro/ro m/v 'Nissos Aegina' on its rooute.

Allision in Aegina

During the departure from Aegina port on Nov 13, 2022, the ferry 'Apollon Hellas' (IMO: 8807105) allided with the 'Agios Nektarios Aiginas', which had arrived from Piraeus on Nov 12. No damages or injuries were reported due to the incident. Since it was a minor impact, both vessels contunued sailing on their scheduled routes.

Passenger injured in fall on board

The Port Authority of Argosaronikos was informed in the morning of June 23, 2020, about the injury of an 83-year-old passenger aboard the 'Agios Nektarios Aiginas' in a fall. The ship was on its scheduled route from Piraeus to Aegina. Upon the return of the ship to the port of Piraeus, the man was transported to the State Hospital for further medical treatment.
