Fri Aug 12 09:24:40 CEST 2016 arnekiel

Cork Dockyard, now the only large dry-dock in the Republic following the closure of the Dublin facility earlier this year, is today to receive a vessel of a client that used the capital’s last dry-dock, writes Jehan Ashmore. The arrival of Arklow Rose to Cork Dockyard saw the 2,999 gross tonnage general cargoship enter dry-dock at 11 o’clock this monring. Arklow Shipping, were one of the major clients of the Dublin Graving Docks that generated around €2.5m annually and handed around 20 ships.
