Tug refloated grounded trimaran

On Nov 18, 2022, the 'Charuca Silveira' refloated the trimaran 'Interaction', which had ran aground on the beach of A Ladeira on the Ribeirense sandbank early on Nov 14, in a large scale operation after several attempts. At 10:00 a.m., the entire towing device was deployed in Corrubedo. In charge of operations at sea was Joaquín Parada from Ribeira of the Remolcanosa company. First the tug had the support of an auxiliary boat and several divers, who connected it to the sailing yacht. From the shore, the trimaran's main floats were inflated using a powerful air compressor. Thhe greatest difficulty in the operation was the powerful surf. Faced with the complications of the action, the Ribeira GAEM ordered a jet ski that was essential for the towing to finally be carried out successfully. The yacht was transferred to the port of O Xufre, in A Illa de Arousa, to be checked and repaired. Members of the Ribeira GAEM, the Ribeira maritime district, the Vilagarcía Maritime Captaincy and the skipper of the 'Salvamar Sargadelos' were involved in the salvage.
