Medevac off Terneuzen

Mon Jan 21 09:48:02 CET 2019 Timsen

On Jan 19, 2019, around midnight the "Obosrishte" which was moored off Schouwenbank, requested assistance after a crew member had fallen from a height and had suffered injuries to legs and back so that a medical evacuation was urgently needed. It was decided to take RAV Zeeland ambulance personnel from Neeltje Jans aboard the lifeboat "Koopmansdank" which was on the spot around 01:05 a.m. after which the ambulance staff with equipment was transferred onto the ship. The pilotage system had already transferred two people aboard to provide assistance. Shortly after the start of the treatment by the ambulance staff, a Dutch Coastguard helicopter arrived and dropped off crews on deck, including a nurse. With the necessary joint knowledge, the victim could be stabilized and was prepared for the transport by helicopter to the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. After the helicopter returned from refueling on the Maasvlakte, the crew and patient were hoisted aboard the helicopter and left for the hospital around 02:20 a.m. The "Koopmansdank" returned to its station after taking the ambulance personnel and their equipment on board around 02:40 a.m. and arrived back 45 minutes later. Navibulgar takes German handysize pair (Marbacan renamed Oborishte)

Mon Oct 10 09:35:33 CEST 2016 arnekiel

Bulgarian handysize specialist Navibulgar has completed the purchase of a pair of Chinese-built handysize bulkers from Germany’s MarConsult. The 29,000 dwt Marbacan and Marbioko, have changed hands and been renamed Oborishte and Ludogorets. No price was given by brokers for the transaction. The new additions to its fleets lifts the number of modern bulk carriers in the Navibulgar fleet to around 30 ships, and that is expected to grow further by the end of the year as it takes delivery of more 36,000 dwt newbuildings from China.
