Perpetrators stole ship's equipment
On April 11, 2021, at about 1.15 a.m., when the 'Pantazis L' was underway about 7,6 miles Northwest of Tanjung Pergam, Pulau Bintan, four perpetrators were sighted in the engine room. The alarm was raised and the crew mustered. A search on board the ship was conducted. At 2.55 a.m., the master updated the Singapore Vessel Traffic Information System (VTIS) that the search on board was completed with no further sighting of the perpetrators. The master reported that some engine spares were stolen. All crew were safe and accounted for. No assistance was required and the ship continued with her voyage from San Francisco du Sol to Ba Yu Quan with an ETA as of Aril 21.
Storm damage in the English Channel
After its departure from the EECV Europoort Terminal in Rotterdam on Jan 1, the "Pantazis L" encountered bad weather in the English Channel while enroute to Le Havre, and some hatch covers were damaged and shifted by wave impact, leaving hatches open to the sea. The bulkcarrier was assisted to port by the tug "VB Octeville" on Jan 7 at 4.20 p.m. and docked at the Quay Johannes Couvert with a hatch hanging over the port side.
