Engine trouble in Saronic Gulf

The "Talos" suffered a starboard engine fuel system failure in lat 37 37.69N, long 23 45.94E, on March 19, 2018, at 6.15 p.m. She wa en route from Drapetzona to Paros, Kos and Rhodes with 16 crew members, 12 passengers and 43 vehicles on board in the Saronic Gulf The vessel proceeded to Drapetzona for inspection and repairs. The vessel was banned from sailing by the port authority until the engine damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was issued.On March 20 the ferry was underway 12 nautical miles from Sifnos Island again.

Ferry suffered mechanical damage

The Greek Coastguard responded to the "Talos" on Jan 6, 2017, which had suffered a mechanical damage near ​​the island of St. George in the Saronic Gulf. The ferry was en route from Piraeus to Syros, Tinos, Mykonos and Chania with 13 crew members, 12 passengers and fifty vehicles. She returned to port of Pireaeus with own power. The Port Authority detained the ship to repair the damage.

Allision in Rethymno

On Oct 22, 2015, the Malta flagged cargo m/v "Asvira", while unmooring in Rethymno port, got its portside anchor entangled in the starboard side anchor of the "Talos"in the process of heaving. The entangled anchor put the vessel out of control, and the "Asvira" allided with the pier and suffered damage at the aft on one meter length. Both vessels were detained for inspection, and the "Talos" had to offload the vehicles bound for Piraeus. On Oct 26 the "Asvira" left Rethymno again on Oct 26 at 1.30 p.m., bound for Braila, ETA Oct 29.
