Mitsubishi Nagasaki delivers MOL COMMITMENT (8,540 teu)
Mitsubishi’s Nagasaki shipyard has delivered the 8,540 teu container vessel MOL COMMITMENT to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL). The ship is the 11th unit in a series of 12 sister vessels ordered by MOL and by various Japanese non-operating owners who charter the ships to liner operators under long-term contracts. Seiner in collision with ferry
On June 16 at 7.30 a.m. the ferry "Landegode" (IMO: 9607370), collided with the "Nesholmen" in the Vestfjord. The ferry, which suffered damage on port side, docked in Bodø at 9:30 a.m. Both ships were able to dcontinue their journey. The Norwegian Maritime Directorate and the police were routinely notífied, inspectors went on board in the afternoon. The sister ship "Værøy" took over the trip back to Moskenes in the foremidday.

The ferry, which suffered damage on port side, docked in Bodø at 9:30 a.m. Both ships were able to dcontinue their journey.
