Condock ship safely returned famous Flying P liner to Germany

On July 30 the "Condock III" with the famous Flying P Liner "Peking" aboard berthed in the Elbe Port in Brunsbüttel on the return voyage from New York. The "Peking" was undocked on Aug 2 and then towed to the Peters Yard in Wewelsfleth for restauration. On July 12, 2017, the "Combi Dock III" arrived in New York and dropped anchor off Staen Island near the Sandy Hook pilot station. The ship is to take on board the tallship "Peking", a former Flying P Liner, to return it to Hamburg as a museum ship. Peking taken home by dock ship

The "Combi Dock III" was appointed to take the tall ship "Peking" from New York to Germany. End of June it will be loaded onto the dock ship and taken across the Atlantic within two weeks. The voyage will end in Brunsbüttel from where tugs will pull the ship to the Peters Yard in Wewelsfleth for the restoration. which will take three years and cost 120 millon € before the ship is handed over to the Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg (SHMH).
