Disabled vessel towed back to Rotterdam
The 'Eems Spirit', en route from Rotterdam to Villagarcia with eight crew members and a cargo of 2.962 tonnes of aluminium on board, suffered an engine defect and propulsion loss in position 50 20 33.6 N, 000 45 42.6 W, 25 nautical miles southeast of St. Catherine's Point on April 26, 2022, at 5.30 p.m. The owners mobilized the tug 'FFS Arion' (IMO: 9056789) to assist, which took the ship in tow at around 9 p.m. back to Rotterdam with an ETA as of April 27, 7 p.m.
