Leak on the rubber joint of the main engine cooling water system

The 'Wilson Parnu', en route from Antwerp to Gaeta with bunkering in Ceuta with eight crew members on board, experienced a leak on the rubber joint of the main engine cooling water system in position 49 33 51 N, 004 14 15 W, about 48,5 nautical miles south of Plymouth on Jan 27, 2022, at 1.50 p.m. The vessel was carrying 4.200 tonnes of ammonium nitrate fertiliser as cargo. The estimated time for repairs was three hours. The Coastguard was maintaining a communications schedule until the ship resumed its course to Ceuta with an ETA as of Jan 31.

Disabled freighter under tow to Harwich

The "Nicole C.", en route from Immingham to Waterford with a crew of eight on board, suffered a propulsion loss in position 52 49 28 N, 001 47 37 E, about 6.5 miles northeast of Waxham on Feb 2,, 2019, and dropped anchor. The vessel was carrying 3.800 tonnes of barley. On Feb 3 at 9.40 a.m. the vessel was taken in tow to Harwich by the tug "Goliath" (IMO: 8227214). In the morning of Feb 4 the tug "Motor Tug Goliath" (MMSI-Nr.: 235050291) joined both sihps, and on 11.20 a.m. they stopped on Southwold anchorage. The tugs "Alfa", "Goliath" and "EMA Defender" towed it into the port of Great Yarmouth on Feb 8 at 1.10 a.m.
