Tue Jun 18 10:25:38 CEST 2019 arnekiel

Carnival Cruise Line has marked its 10-year anniversary of offering year-round cruises from the Port of Baltimore in Maryland, US. Since Carnival launched Baltimore’s first year-round cruise programme in 2009, it has brought more than one million guests to the city. The cruise brand marked the milestone with a ‘Decades of Fun’ celebration onboard Carnival Pride, which included a ceremony where the brand’s president Christine Duffy presented Cruise Maryland’s general manager Cynthia Burman with a ship’s bell. In return, Burman gave Duffy a maritime international clock.

Coast Guard: No Ships To Enter Baltimore Port Ahead Of Storm

Thu Jan 04 09:11:53 CET 2018 arnekiel

The U.S. Coast Guard won’t allow ships to enter the Port of Baltimore because of high winds expected in a winter storm. The Maryland Department of Transportation says the Coast Guard won’t allow ships into the Chesapeake Bay from 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday morning. Truckers on Thursday will be allowed to pick up deliveries from ships that met the deadline and to do other business. Transportation officials say crews pre-treated and salted the public marine terminals on Wednesday. No cruise ships are scheduled to leave from the Port of Baltimore until Sunday. http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2018/01/03/port-of-baltimore-winter-storm-closed/
