The "Aegean Paradise" has not been sold to Diamond Cruise but to New Century Group Hong Kong. The ship acquired by Diamond Cruise is the "Celestyal Odyssey".

The Aegean Paradise has been sold to a start-up cruise line aiming to operate out of Shanghai, Diamond Cruise, according to the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association. The ship will undergo a significant refurbishment in Europe to help transform it to cater to Chinese passengers. Cruise ship overturned Coastguard boat with migrants

On July 26, 2015, a boat of the Greek Coastguard was in collision with the "Aegean Paradise" in the port of Chios shortly after 6 a.m. The cruise ship which was bound from Chios to Cesme slammed into the starboard side of the boat due to dense fog in the area which did not allow a visibility of more than 10 meters. The boat which had 25 migrants who had collected from the sea shortly before the accident was overturned. Miraculously no one was injured, and the boat was pulled out of the water at a nearby yard. The cruise ship was ordered to drop anchor for inspections.
