Allision in Brunsbüttel

Thu Feb 28 11:09:59 CET 2019 Timsen

On Feb 28, 2019, at 4.05 a.m. the "Felix", coming from Hamburg, allided with the quay of the Elbe Port in brunsbüttel. The ship was enroute to Berne when it hit the wall, tearing off a fender both from the quay and from the ship. The bulkhead was pushed in, and the baseboard of the tug suffered damage too. The marine police Brunsbüttel launched an investigation. The tug could continue on its way with an ETA at Berne as of 9.30 p.m.

New Tug for Schramm Group at Brunsbüttel

Wed Sep 28 13:53:55 CEST 2016 arnekiel

The Schramm Group at Brunsbüttel is a diversified maritime company, and towing services are part of their business, specifically tug assistance on the Kiel Canal which has been a growing business due to an increasing number of towages of Casco’s and barges. Their fleet of tugs has now been extended by Felix, a tug built in 1988 as Lady Sybil by Cochrane Shipbuilders in Goole. The tug already served for German Fairplay group as Fairplay X from 1999 to 2007, but returned to Britain as MTS Vengeance for Marine & Towing Services Group in Falmouth. Due to more favourable legal conditions in the Netherlands, the tug is registered with the Dutch subsidiary Sleepdienst H. Schramm BV in Harlingen, and the traditional Schramm funnel mark has been modified to include the Dutch flag.
