Medevac off Langeland

On Dec 5, 2023, at 06.34 a.m. an SAR helicopter of the Danish Defence medevaced a person from the 'Stena Scandinavica' south of Langeland island. The ship had been en route from Gothenburg to Kiel, where it arrived at around 9.15 a.m. LT.

On Nov 5, 2023, at 9.30 p.m. LT, a person aboard the 'Stena Scandinavia' needed to be medevaced, while the ship was en route from Kiel to Gothenburg. The patient was hoisted by a Danish SAR helicopter and transported to the Rigshospital in Copenhagen for further medical treatment.

Stern ramp trouble delayed ferry

The 'Stena Scandinavica' suffered a malfunction of its stern ramp upon its departure from Kiel to Gothenburg in the evening of Jan 13. The ship could not sail as scheduled at 7 p.m. A mobile crane was called to assist in the situation. Stena Line initially announced the ship would sail at 10 p.m. But it finally sailed only on Jan 14 at 1 p.m. and was still in the Kattegat enroute to Gothenburg in the foremidday, hours behind the schedule according to which it should have arrived at 9 a.m. She finally berthed in Gothenburg at 1 p.m. and left port with a slight delay at 7.45 p.m. back to Kiel.
