Ferry trouble on service Storstein-Lauksundskaret-Nikkeby
The ferry service Storstein-Lauksundskaret-Nikkeby has been canceled on June 13, 2015, at 1.30 p.m. because of technical problems of the "Reinøy" which was sidelined in Storstein. The ferry was without power due to generator trouble, and a technician was called coming from Tromsø to Storstein. In the evening the "Ocean Artic" was inserted for passenger service. Due to inclement weather it was not possible to pick up passengers in Lauksundskaret, and the ship proceeded to Arnøyhamn. In Nikkeby she was to moor at the floating dock and in Skjervøy to call at the Kong wharf. The bad weather meant that there was no precise timetable for the first departure.
