Brioken fuel pipe

The 'Speyk', with a crew of five on-board, suffered a broken fuel pipe in position 49 46 05.4 N, 005 09 40.8 W, 12 miles south of Lizard Point, en route from Södertalje to Olvia,on Nov 15, 2019. The crew required two hours to fix the defect. Around 1 p.m. the ship was underway again with an ETA as of Nov 27, 9 a.m.

Cylinder leak affected steering gear

The "Speyk" en route from Rouen to Drogheda, with a crew of six on board, suffered a leak in the cylinders affecting the steering gear, in position 50 18 13.8 N, 02 04 27.6 W, on Nov 9, 2018, at 9 a.m. The vessel proceeded to the position 50 34 42 N, 02 13 2 4W to anchor for repairs. It was transiting through the TSS from France to UK waters to shelter and conduct repairs. The estimated time of repair was nine hours. The crew has completed its repairs successfully within the time frame and was expected to reach Drogheda on Nov 10 at 8 p.m.

Cargo ship caused oil spill

On July 22, 2014, the "Marc Andre" caused an oil spill at the Kali Quay in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg due to an overflow. About two tons heavy fuel spilt during a bunkering manoever, 2000 square meters were affected. The fire brigade worked to clean up the spill and remove the contamination. The work was completed in the evening. The ship left the port again on July 26.
