Emergency generator trouble off Lizard
The 'Pigeon Point', en route from Rotterdam to Genova, Italy, with 26 crew members on board, experienced high temperature in the emergency generator due to a fault in the cooling system 50 miles southeast of Lizard in position 49 23 19.0 N, 004 39 36.0 W, on Oct 23, 2020, at 12.40 a.m. The vessel continued with slow speed ahead while the fault was investigated. Repairs were carried out, and the vessel continued the voyage at 01.30 a.m. with an ETA as of Oct 28.
