Bulkcarrier in collision with trawler

In the morning of Mar 8, 2016, at 3.10 a.m. the French trawler "Pors Moguer - SB 735500", 110 gt (IMO-No.: 8713782), was in collision with the "Proteas" 30 miles NW of the island Batz. The trawler was underway to Bloscon in Roscoff, when he slammed into the cargo ship which was underway from China to Flushing. Despite significant bow damage the trawler managed to reach the port with own power and berthed in Bloscon at 7.40 a.m. The "Proteas" continued to Flushing where she was expected on Mar 9 at 2 a.m. Representants of the Coastguard Brest went to Roscoff to interrogate the crew of the “Pors Moguer”. At the time of the accident there were rough seas and six Beaufort wind, but visibility was good.
