Work accident injured two

Sat Jul 22 20:39:18 CEST 2017 Timsen

While the "Stellar Young" was docked at Gwangyang in the South Jeolla Province, in the afternoon of July 22, 2017, two crew members experienced burn injuries by fuel oil scattering during the work at the G/E F.O auto filer at. They were taken immediately to the shore hospital by ambulance. One of the seafarers was able to get back to work in about three days, while the other would likely be back to work in about two weeks. No extra repairs were required, so there were no delays for vessel’s schedule at all. The accident took place during maintenance works. The bulkcarrier had arrived at the Gwangyang bulk terminal, coming from Point Samson, on July 19. On July 23, the ship left port again bound to Auphe, ETA Aug 3.
