Grounding on the Svir
The "Vita", loaded with 2091 tons of logs, ran aground on the river Svir near the village Voznesenye, while en route from Petrozavodsk to Priozersk. The ship got stuck in poor visibility, which was thought to be the cause of an accident. All attempts to refloat it failed so far, a tug with a lighter and crane have been contracted, so the ship is to be lightered. They arrived at the grounding site in the early morning of Sep 14.
Grounding on Vyg Lake
The "Vita" ran aground on the Vyg Lake within the White Sea–Baltic Sea Canal on Aug 14, 2014, while ballasting to Perguba port, Onega Lake, Odin.tc reports. The ship was refloated short time later and moved to Segezh, Onega Lake, for inspections. No damages reported.
