On Apr 29, 2016 at 1:39 p.m., the CROSS Corsen was alerted by the Maritime Medical Consultation Centre (MMCC) in Toulouse that a Polish sailor of 55 years aboard the "Azuryth" had got in contact with chemicals. Ship seized due to suspicion of pollution

Thu Jan 16 09:52:06 CET 2014 Timsen

On Jan 15, 2014 , at 3:15 p.m. a French customs helicopter detected a pollution as discharge into the sea in the wake of the "Deniz S" seven nautical miles off Le Havre. The ship was enroute from the Jérôme Port in Le Havre to Ghent. The helicopter alerted the CROSS Joburg. Due to the strong suspicion of pollution it immediately contacted the prosecutor of Havre who asked the maritime prefecture of the English Channel and the Northsea to divert the ship to the port of Dunkirk. The customs boat "Jacques Oudart Fourmentin" was sent on order of the maritime prefecture and escorted the tanker to Dunkirk where it berthed on Jan 16 at 4 a.m.
