The Greek JRCC was informed in the evening of Jan 18, 2022, that the "NS Tera", en route from Termini Imerese to Icdas, had suffered a mechanical damage seven nautical miles northwest of Kythira with eight crew members on board. The 'Fotini Z# was tasked to assist and took the ship in tow to the port of Piraeus. In the mmorning of Jan 19 it entered a shipyard in Piraeus. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the classification society that monitors it.

The "NS Tera" suffered a mechanical failure and got out of control while maneuvering in Antikythera in the afternoon of Jan 3, 2018. The ship’s bow struck the stern of the berthed bulk carrier "Delphi Ranger". Both ships sustained damages and were to be inspected. As of morning Jan 4, they remained at Antikythera. Teh "NS Tera" arrived at Perama on Jan 8.

Officer at the helm fell asleep

Thu Apr 19 22:24:53 CEST 2012 Timsen

Fatigue may be the reason that the "Tera" ran aground at the northern tip of Öland. In fact the ship's first mate was asleep. The cause of the grounding is not fixed but there is evidence that the first officer on board was asleep, according to the Maritime Inspector of Transport Agency who is investigating the grounding.
