The "Tina" was refloated jointly by the rescue boat "Woltera" of the DGzRS and the German ferry „Frisia VIII“ on Feb 21 at 255 p.m. Following some failed refloating attempts the ships pugot shed the "Tina“ back to deeper water in the afternoon. The "Frisia VIII" had lightered parts of the cargo consisting of building materials, gravel, cement and mineral mixture before. Then she started to pull with the rising tide, assisted by the "Woltera" which stabilized the "Tina" and then took the cargo ship, which still had a weight of more thant 800 tons, in tow with its 320 hp. In the narrow of the port approach the "Frisia" took the "Tina" in tow until it reached a berth within the port of Juist.
