Technical trouble on the Northsea
The 'Wilson Gaeta', en route from Purfleet to Terneuzen with eight crew members on board, suffered a defect with its oil heater in position 51 22 09 N, 001 58 06 E on april 1, 2022. The crew repaired the defect, and the ship resumed its voyage short time later. At 9 p.m. the same day the ship arrived at the Southern Canal Port of Terneuzen.

The "Wilson Gaeta" departed from Bremerhaven West Quay, where it had berthed day after its allision with a piling in Cuxhaven on Aug 31, 2010, for repairs, on Aug 9 at 3 a.m., now bound for Hamburg.

In the morning of Aug 31, 2010, short after midnight the "Wilson Gaeta" allided with the eastern jetty of the outer harbour of Cuxhaven. The vessel was coming from Bilbao and was heading for the Machulez-Quay, when the accident happened in spite of pilot's assistance. The bulwark at the bow on starboard side was damaged and some wooden pilings broke when the ship hit it with its bow.
