Boxship resumes work after five years of layup
After five years of lying idle, a Chinese-built boxship has been refurbished and is trading again. Alphaliner is reporting the 957 teu Anne, purchased earlier this year by German owner Jens & Waller, is back at work after a long hiatus.
Freighter repaired and renamed
The former "Tinghir" has left the port of Tuzla after repairs on July 17 at 1.30 p.m., now having been renamed "Anne". The ship headed to Istanbul, arriving there on July 17 at 9 p.m. On July 17 she was receiving bunkers by the tanker "Kalamis E" (IMO: 9734965) on the ports roads.
Disabled container ship towed to Tuzla
The "Tinghir" which had experienced engine failure at Casablanca, Morocco in November, 2017, was taken in tow by the tug "Europe" in order to tow the vessel from the incident scene to Tuzla shipyard area after repairs could not be effected on site. During the Canakkale Strait passage the Coastal safety tug provided strait traffic safety as well as escort service for the vessel. On Feb 22 the ship has entered Tuzla shipyard upon completion of formalities. Permanent repairs have commenced by shore-based technical teams. The estimated date of completion of repairs was end of March. End of June it was still stationary.News schreiben
