Cooling water line damage
The 'Arklow Dusk', while en route from Aviles to Holla with 10568 tonnes of quartz and a crew of 10 on board, suffered a cooling water line issue in position 61 15 06 N, 000 18 18 E, on Sep 20, 2020, at 01.20 a.m. The crew carried out repairs, and on Sep 21 at 6 a.m. the ship berthed in Holla.
Repairs in Rotterdam completed
The "Flinter America", which had been towed into the port of Rotterdam on Jan 25, left the Waal Port again on Feb 20 after repairs and headed for Sillamae as first port of call after repairs.
Casualty towed into Rotterdam
On Jan 25 at 4.10 p.m. the British tug "MTS Victory" (IMO: 7510626), with the "Flinter America" in tow reached the port of Rotterdam. On the Maas the convoy was assisted by the tug "Tyfoon" from Sliedrecht as stern tug. The cargo vessel was berthed at the Noordpijp in the Northern Waal Port.
