Repairs of collision damage completed
Permanent repairs of the 'Benitamou' have been completed in the local shipyard at Icdas port. Sea trials were carried out under supervision and satisfaction of a class surveyor as of April 11. Subsequently, the vessel was shifted from the repair yard to the loading pier. The re-loading operation of discharged cargo was due to start upon completion of cargo and custom permission formalities. The ship remained stationary at the loading pier at Icdas port as of April 14.
Repairs of collision damage underway
The 'Benitamou' has completed the temporary cargo discharge operations and shifted to Icdas shipyard for repairs which have commenced under the supervision of the owner's superintendent and the shipyard technical teams in regards to the class surveyor's recommendations. The repair works are being carried out in the shipyard where the ship remains stationary as of March 5.
Damage survey in Icdas
After the collision with the 'BC Vanessa', the permanent repairs of the 'Benitamou' were yet to start. A detailed damage survey has been carried out by attended surveyor panel along with the owner's superintendent in Icdas. Repairs will be carried out in regards to the class surveyor's recommendations.
