Convoy slowly moving Elbe upstream

In the afternoon of Jan 17, the "Cape Leonidas" was slowly being pulled river upstream by the tug "Bugsier 7", "Bugsier 9“, "Bugsier 22", "Bugsier 2", "Fairplay IX“ and "Michel“ on the southern shore of the Elbe so that ship traffic could be resumed stepwise. The convoy was off Pagensand at 3 p.m. proceeding Elbe upwards with around 4 knots. Until the ship has reached port with the tide flow around 4 p.m. ship traffic continued to be hampered. In the midday hours the fairway at Kollmar was free again for transit of ships with a length of up to 150 meters. Larger ships waiting to enter port had to wait at anchor off Helgoland, ships waiting to leave port had to remain at their berths. At 7 p.m. the bulkcarrier was finally being pushed towards the quay in the Hansaport in the Köhlbrand. She left the port of Hamburg again on Jan 20 at 2 a.m. bound to Puerto Drummond, ETA Feb 5.
