Ferry disabled by rope
The "Flyingcat 6" had to return to the port of Piraeus on May 17, 2018, at 4.15 p.m.where the 297 passengers were dropped off. The ferry had been disabled by a rope which was jammed around one of its two propellers, being en route to Poros, Hydra Spetses and Porto Heli. The passengers were carried to their destinations by another ship. The "Flyingcat 6" sailed again on May 19 at 9.10 a.m.
Hydrofoil limped back to port
On Apr 5, 2018, the "Flying Cat 6" suffered a main engine damage off Tourlos after leaving the port of Piraeus at 8 a.m. bound to Hydra with 332 passengers and a crew of 11 on board. The ship returned to the port of Piraeus with reduced speed. The company has chartered coaches to transport the passengers to their destination and offered refunds. The first four coaches started to Metohi and Costa, while three more - a total of seven had been chartered - were expected to take passengers to Porto Heli. As the ship had more scheduled sailings at 1.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. the "Flying Cat 4" was to be inserted as a replacement on the route to Poros and Hydra.
