Medevac off Comodoro Rivadavia

Troops from the Argentine Naval Prefecture medevaced a crew member of the 'Marianela' on July 22, 2023, who needed urgent medical attention, while the ship was sailing more than 230 kilometers from Comodoro Rivadavia. The captain of the vessel a radio communication with the Comodoro Rivadavia Coastal Station,reporting that one of his crew was suffering from severe abdominal pain and that he had numb arms and legs. After the radio consultation with a medical team from the Air Force, the immediate air evacuation of the man was arranged. Immediately, a plane and a helicopter took off. Once on scene, a sanitary basket was lowered and the crew member was hoisted and received the first care on board the helicopter, while the arrival of an ambulance was coordinated at the Trelew airport. The man was transferred to the local hospital for better care. Medevac off Puerto Madryn

Specialized staff of the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) medevaced a crew member of the 'Marianela' with a helicopter almost 93 kilometers from Trelew, Chubut, on Aug 2, 2022. The man needed urgent medical attention because he was suffering from a cerebrovascular accident). The captain made a radio communication with the Mar del Plata Prefecture reporting that one crew member had difficulty breathing, chest pain, numbness in his arms and high blood pressure, while they were sailing to Puerto Madryn. After the radio consultation with a doctor from the Force, the immediate air evacuation of sailor who suffered a possible heart attack. From the Comodoro Rivadavia Air Station, a plane and a helicopter of the Prefecture, with specialized personnel to assist this type of emergency, took off. Once on the ship, a sanitary basket and hoisted the crew member, who received the first assistance aboard the helicopter. After the arrival at Trele, an ambulance trannsported the patient to hospital for further care.
