Engine repairs completed
The 'Dancing Queeen' has completed its repairs and shifted from the shipyard in Tuzla to the anchorage area in order to carry out sea trials together with final tests. A new set of trading certificates will be issued by the classification society and flag state authorities upon completion of the sea trial inspection. The vessel remained stationary at Tuzla anchorage in pos. 40° 50.68' N 029° 14.19' E as of Nov 22.
Disabled ship under repair at Tuzla
The 'Dancing Queen', which had suffered an engine failure at Las Palmas on July 10, arrived in Tuzla and entered a shipyard upon completion of formalities. The class surveyor, together with owner's superintendent and shipyard duty engineers, carried out a damage survey. Subsequently, shore-based technical team commenced repairs.
Engine failure at Las Palmas
The ÄDancing Queen' suffered an engine failure at Las Palmas, on July 10, 2021. As repairs could not be carried out by the crew, the tug 'Monte Da Luz' (IMO: 9710153) was contracted to tow the vessel to Istanbul. The towage operation commenced on July 15 at 11.30 p.m. with an ETA as of Aug 4.
