Port of Tyne secures new container service to Russia
The Port of Tyne will open a new container shipping service to Russia, connecting the North East with St Petersburg. The new service will see Seago Line operate the Seago Wybelsum and Seago Calisto, calling alternatively every Saturday at the Port of Tyne in South Shields. Two vessels operated by Danish firm Seago Line will run an eight-day service between the ports. The move is expected to see container exports from Port of Tyne increase by 50%.
