Truck overturned on ferry
In strong winds in the strait of Bali on May 31, 2019, at 11,30 a.m. big waves hit the KMP "Agung Samudera IX", and a loaded truck unit collapsed. The ferry had sailed from Ketapang Port to Gilimanuk Port. After approaching the Port of Gikimanuk, the blast caught the ferry, and the fastening rope of the truck broke, and it rolled over at the stern of the ship. The load of basic necessities transported by Levianus Totawa, bound from Flores from Mojokerto to Flores, spilled on the deck. After the "Agung Samudera IX" docked at Gilimanuk port, it was unloaded, then the overturned truck was removed and the ship was inspected by the authorities. "The incident of the overthrow of the truck on the ship was due to weather conditions such as strong winds and big waves. Grounding off Gilimanuk
The "Agung Samudera IX" ran aground off Gilimanuk on May 19, 2018 at 9.45 p.m. after strong winds and currents drifted it into shallow waters. It refloated under own power at 12.25 a.m. and docked at Gilimanuk at 12.45 a.m. where the landing craft has been checked and no serious damage was found. The vessel has been authorized to resume its operations.
