Crew member injured in fall on board

The Port Authority of Heraklion was informed in the morning of Sep 22, 2022, that a crew member of the 'Santa Irini' was injured at his left knee, after falling on the stern ramp of the ship. The victim was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Heraklion, from where he was discharged. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Central Port Authority of Heraklion.

Allision in Thira

The Port Authority of Thira was informed on Aug 4, 2022, at noon, that the anchor of the 'Santa Irini', which was moored in the port, was unhooked, resulting in its allision with a jetty. The Thiras Port Authority initially banned the ship from sailing, but after the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness and the repair of the damage, the ship set sail on its scheduled route to the port of Heraklion with 135 passengers on board.
