Sinking ship run aground
In the evening of Jan 4, 2020, the 'Amal T' was in collision with an oncoming cargo vessel while entering the port of Qinzhou. The bulk carrier, which was loaded with 27.465 tons of manganese ore, was severely damaged. It had suffered a hull breach at the port side foreship in the cargo hold area, followed by a water ingress. The ship timewise was in danger of sinking and blocking the fairway.
