Tanker boarded by robbers off Ghana
The officer of the watch of the "Anuket Pearl" spotted robbers on the forecastle and remarked a paint locker door being open on March 29, 2019, at Takoradi Anchorage, Ghana, at 02.36 a.m. in position 004 52 51.6 N, 001 41 25.2 W. He immediately directed the search light towards the robbers and sounded the ship's horn. Seeing the alerted crew, the robbers fled the vessel and escaped with stolen ship's stores. The Takoradi Port Control was informed, and the Takoradi Marine Police boarded the tanker for investigations.
