Bulk carrier boarded by armed perpetrators

The ''Asia Graeca' was boarded by five perpetrators, armed with knives and guns in position 01 16 31.8N, 104 19 06.0E, while transiting the Singapore Strait on Sep 17, 2021, at 6.40 p.m. The Master carrier out checks on board, during which the perpetrators were not found. There have been no reports on whether ships properties have been stolen. The vessel did not require any assistance from the Indonesian Navy and continued its voyage to its next port of call Zhoushan with an ETA as of Sep 25.

Grounding on Paraná

On Nov 19, 2020, at 01.40 a.m. the 'Asia Graeca' ran aground on the Paraná river at km 453 (right margin) while sailing downstream from San Lorenzo, shortly after unmooring from the Terminal 6. It was partially obstructing the navigation and was trying to refloat under own means. The bulk carrier was finally pulled off about 24 hours later with the assistance of the tugs 'Brutus' and 'Ranquel'. The ship was moved downstream and moored at San Lorenzo anchorage on Nov 20 at 3.45 a.m. in pos. 32° 45.50' S 060° 43.20' W for inspections by the Coastguard. The ship was loaded with 39.309 tons of soybean meal and was bound for Japan after being topped off in Santos.
