Pirate attack aborted
Pirates have failed in an attack on the "Atlantica" off the coast of Oman. A single skiff fired shots at the 50ship on Dec 4, 2011. After warning shots from an armed security team stationed on the ship the pirates aborted their attack. The supramax was less than 100 miles from the Masirah Islands when the attack occurred while the vessel was en route to Richards Bay.
