Razoni arrived in Tartus

Wed Aug 17 11:32:31 CEST 2022 Timsen

The 'Razoni', the first ship to leave the Ukraine since the end of the port bloackade, has reached the port of Tartus on Aug 16. It had sailed form Odesa on Aug 1 with more than 26.000 tons grain.

Ship to dock in Mersin

Wed Aug 10 12:45:33 CEST 2022 Timsen

The 'Razoni', which had been the first ship to leave the port of Odesa, carrying a cargo of corn bound for Lebanon, has finally arrived off the port of Mersin, which means that all the problems surrounding this dry cargo ship have been resolved. Earlier, a buyer in Lebanon refused to accept the cargo from the vessel, which was carrying more than 26,000 tonnes of corn, due to delivery delays. The 'Razoni' dropped anchor off the port in pos. 36° 43.85' N 034° 38.21' on Aug 9 at 2.35 a.m.

Buyer no longer accepts the cargo

Mon Aug 08 21:49:06 CEST 2022 Timsen

The "Razoni" was the first grain carrier that was able to leave the blocked Ukrainian waters, but it has still not arrived at its destination. The buyer no longer wants to accept the cargo. As the Ukrainian embassy in Lebanon announced, the investor has withdrawn his interest in the approximately 26,000 tons of corn on board the freighter. Officially on the grounds that the delivery is now almost five months late. The ship is now waiting for a new buyer and thus a new port of destination to be found and remained anchored off the Turkish coast. The freighter was originally expected in the Lebanese port of Tripoli in the morning of Aug 7. It anchored off Mersin on Aug 9 at 2.30 a.m.
