Ship adrift off Beachy Head

The 'Cli Pride', en route from Rotterdam to Valleyfield with 11 crew members on board, suffered problems with an input airwell of the main engine and was drifting 12.6 nautical miles off Beachy Head in position 50 34 39.2N, 000 27 44.9E, on Aug 11, 2021, at 2.30 p.m. The vessel was transiting the southwest lane of Dover Traffic Separation Scheme at the time of the incident. The ship resumed its voyage after repairs with an ETA as of Aug 22.

Brielle to shelter in Funchal

Reportedly on Apr 5 German freighter Brielle developed a heavy list of 20-25 degrees in the Atlantic some 170 nautical miles south of Lisbon, en route from Nikolayev, Ukraine, to Panama Canal. Brielle is said to be sailing to nearest Portugal port, while the crew is trying to stabilize the vessel. Details are unknown.
