Engine failure off Dagenham

Fri May 18 10:36:16 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Bellini" suffered a failure of the engine and the cooling system gasket in pos. 51 07 N 01 31 E on May 17, 2018, at 2.10 a.m. The tanker was en route from Stenungsund to Dagenham, with a crew of 11 on board. The vessel anchored but reported dragging anchor. The UK Coastguard was monitoring the ship via CNIS. Repairs could be carried out by the crew, and the ship resumed the voyage from Stenungsund, where it had sailed on May 14, to Dagenham, where it berthed at 7.30 p.m.
