Engine repairs off Clyde
The RFA 'Tideforce', en route from Plymouth, UK, to the Clyde Approaches with 62 people on board, required repairs of the port side engine in pos. 54 54 54 N, 005 26 18 W, about 12 nautical miles from Larne on Jan 22, 2024. The vessel experienced restricted power on the available starboard side shaft. The vessel reached the safety of the Clyde Approaches where it remained to shelter from current weather before proceeding to a refit port within the next week.
