Disabled vessel towed to Scalloway

The 'Enterprise II' with six crew members on board lost all power, went adrift and started taking on water northwest of Sumburgh in pos. 60 05 33.0N, 002 55 36.5W. The ship required pumping and towing assistance on Oct 21, 2021, at 4 p.m. The fishing vessel 'Aalskere' took the casualty in tow and pulled it to Scalloway, escorted by the lifeboat of the RNLI station in Aith in north-northwestern winds of 20 knots. The Shetland MRCC was coordinating the response. On Oct 22 at 11 p.m. the ship reached Scalloway port. Fire in MacDuff

Three fire appliances and a height vehicle were called to the fire on board the “Enterprise – BF 1“ at Macduff Harbour on Nov 7, 2018, shortly after 7.30am. The fire was located in the fish-carrying holding area. The fire brigade used seven breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera and brought the blaze under control in just over an at 8.40 a.m. Crews remained on scene while the vessel was ventilated and left shortly before 10 a.m. The police was also called to the incident site after receiving reports that a box on board the vessel was on fire. Nobody was on board when the fire broke out. The Aberdeen Coastguard was also called to the incident for information gathering purposes.
