Detention in Mykonos

The 'Eurika' was detained during a Port State Control in Mykonos on April 24, 2020. The arrest under the auspices of the Paris MOU, was imposed after the inspectors found serious deficiencies that fell under the Marine Labour Convention MLC 2006.

Oil spill during bunkering in Brunsbüttel

On Nov 25, 2018, an oil spill occurred at the quay of the Zöger company in the inner port of Brunsbüttel due to an overflow of a fuel tank of the "Eurika". The ship had arrived from Kaliningrad at noon and was getting buner supplies. At 12.50 p.m. about 50-60 liters diesel fuel spilt onto the main deck and leaked into the water of the Kiel Canal. A special company was called to recover the oil An oil boom was laid out to contain the spill. At 4.45 p.m. the ship was released and continued the voyage to Bilbao. The police launched an investigation for environmental crime, and a safety deposit of 700 Euros had to be paid.
