Technical failure at Novorossyisk
The 'Fatima M.' encountered a technical failure at Novorossiysk on Jan 18, 2022. The vessel's departure permission was cancelled by Harbour Master until completion of repairs by the crew. The ship sailed from the port of Novorossiysk on Jan 22 at around 3.30 p.m.
Ship fined for polluting the sea
The local municipality environmental pollution prevention department imposed a pollution fine on the 'Fatima M' in Antalya on May 21, 2021, due to breach of local regulation as per Marpol rules. Subsequently, aninvestigation file was opened by the local authority, and as a result of further investigations, the 'Fatima M.' was found guilty of discharging dirty ballast water and consequently imposed a fine of 186,500 US Dollars. The vessel departure permission was cancelled by Harbour Master until the payment of the fine together with cleaning expenses. The ship remained stationary on Antalya anchorage in pos. 36° 49.79' N 030° 37.79' E as of May 25.
