Medevac off Penmarc'h
A 52-year-old crew member of the 'Bara Ar VicherÄ was medevaced and tanken to the Cavale-Blanche hospital in Brest on April 5, 2023. At around 12:30 p.m. the CROSS Corsen was alerted after the man suffered an injury and had to be evacuated from the trawler, which was then sailing off Penmarc'h. A Cayman helicopter of the French Navy was deployed with a medical team from the Cavale-Blanche hospital on board. The victim was picked up at 1:10 p.m. and dropped off at the hospital at 2:30 p.m.
Trawler troubled off Étocs
In the morning of Dec 10, 2019, the 'Bara ar Vicher' got in trouble off Étocs after the trawl was caught in the propelle. The SNSM lifeboat 'Men Meur' was deployed from the station Guilvinec-Treffiagat to assist. Escorted by the lifeboat, the trawler was able to return to the port without towing. At the port entrance it was taken alingside due to the stron wind. Medevac off Brittany
On May 24, 2012, around 6 p.m. the MRCC Corsen was alerted after a crew member of the "Bara Ar Vicher" had fallen ill. The trawler was 135 nautical miles west of the tip of Brittany. An EC 225 helicopter of the Navy with a medical team of the health service on board was immediately dispatched to area. Around 7.30 p.m. the man, aged 37, was hoisted aboard the helicopter and one hour later delivered to the hospital de la Cavale Blanche in Brest for further treatment.
