Tanker allided with jetty
On Sep 30, 2021, the 'Grand Ace 8' allided with the jetty of the oil terminal in Chattogram, Chittagong, during the mooring manoever. The tanker had arrived from Nalaysia and Map Ta Phut an Laem Cahbang with 35,074 tons of diesel oil on board, part of which was to be lightered at the anchorage to allow the tanker to enter the port. The Dolphin Jetty-5 suffered damages of about 1.900.000 $. The accident was caused by faulty anchoring mechanisms.
