The repatriation of the three stowaways to Guinea-Conakry who were still aboard the 'Harald Maersk' in Vigo will take until Feb 19 or 20, according to police sources. The shipping company and the Border Brigade of the National Police were finalizing the paperwork for the repatriation to Africa. Their identities have been confirmed by their embassy.

Sat Feb 15 22:29:59 CET 2020 Timsen

The three stowaways who wre on board the "Harald Maersk" would will to disembark at Vigo, ending an issue that has been delayed for a week, when the ship asked permission to dock in the port. They had been discovered when leaving Gibraltar and allegedly had had violent behavior, which later was not confirmed. In any case, they were confined to a cabin. However, the Spanish authorities did not accept the three Africans, apparently from Guinea Conakry, and urged the Maersk shipping company to return them to their country. The Danish company proposed to disembark them in Vigo and take care of the expenses of the transfer of the three young people back to Guinea by air, accompanied by Spanish police. The ship planned to continue heading immediately once the episode ends, but remained stationary as of Feb 16.
