Fuel injector trouble off Falls Head

The Helena Schepers', en route from Rotterdam to Leixoes with 12 crew members on board, needed to replace the engine fuel injector near Falls Bank in position 51 31 00.0N, 001 54 23.0E, on Oct 14, 2021, at 4.25 p.m. UTC. The vessel proceeded to the northeast of the Falls Head and carried out the engine fuel injector change within one hour. Then it resumed its voyage with an ETA as of Oct 17.

Medevac in Rotterdam

On Oct 11, 2019, at at 9.45 a.m. a man fell into the cargo hold of the 'Helena Schepers' which was berthed in the Europa Port in Rotterdam. Thanks to good cooperation with all the services involved, the patient was able to reach the hospitalby ambulance at 11 a.m. After co-alarmed ambulance officers were reached the port it took them 10 minutes to the moored ship. With the help of an RPA vessel and a pilot ladder they got on board. Two ambulance employees and three members of the KNRM boat 'Jeanine Parqui' boarded the ship for assistance and the transport of necessary medical equipment. The victim had suffered various fractures and bruises. The Hoek rescuers helped prepare the stretcher, before the patient was taken on board the lifeboat via a ship's crane. At 11 a.m. the lifeboat was moored again and the patient en route to the hospital. The container ship left Rotterdam again on Oct 13, bound to Leixoes.
